Chery South Africa has officially entered the country’s light-commercial vehicle (LCV) segment with the launch of the Tiggo 4 Pro Panel Van. Based on the popular Tiggo 4 Pro compact SUV, this new light-delivery vehicle is fully homologated as an LCV, allowing VAT-registered businesses to claim back VAT on the vehicle's purchase price. The Tiggo 4 Pro Panel Van features a spacious loadbay, with the rear passenger bench removed and a security capsule installed, offering 1,500 litres of cargo space. This expanded load area is accessible via the tailgate aperture and two rear doors.

The Tiggo 4 Pro Panel Van provides a payload capacity of 360 kg, a ground clearance of 180 mm, and an unbraked towing capacity of 750 kg. It is powered by a reliable 1.5-litre petrol engine, which delivers 83 kW and 138 Nm of torque, and comes with either a six-speed manual gearbox or a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The vehicle is also backed by a 10-year/1-million km warranty, reflecting its durability and value for businesses.

Although designed for light-commercial use, the Tiggo 4 Pro Panel Van includes several premium features such as keyless entry, 16-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, a 10.25-inch multimedia touch display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an electronic parking brake, and cruise control. These features ensure comfort and convenience for drivers.

Safety is also a priority in the Tiggo 4 Pro Panel Van, with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, Emergency Brake Assist, electronic stability control, traction control, roll stability control, hill assist, downhill assist, and rear parking sensors offered as standard. The CVT version adds curtain airbags, tyre pressure monitoring, and a rear-view camera for additional safety.
